The White Post is our ‘local’ inn and is the only public house in the country to have the county boundary running through the bar. Historically, The White Post had two bars: one in Dorset and one in Somerset. In days gone by, locals would move from one bar to another to gain extra drinking time. Now it has been converted into a cosy and inviting place to meet friends and enjoy a drink or a fine meal.
The White Post is run by Brett Sutton and his partner Carly. They invite you to join them and warm yourself by the wood burning stove, spend time with the chickens in the garden, treat yourself to a meal or just pop in for a quick pint.
There are 3 letting rooms, 2 double ensuite and a family en-suite, which makes it an ideal place to explore the two counties before coming back for a quiet night and a good dinner.
There is a community news board by the front door and everyone is welcome to place posters and adverts on the board.
