Rainfall Report – November 2017

After a relatively dry October, November rainfall returned to normal autumn conditions with 95.5mm (3¾ inches) and 16 wet days. This was almost spot on the November average of 96mm (3¾ inches) and 15 wet days.

Over the last 25 years, there have been several very wet Novembers with November 2002 being the wettest month I have ever recorded with 189.5 mm (7½ inches) and 22 wet days. The driest November was 2001 with just 31mm (1¼ inches).

As 2017 comes to an end, it is looking like the annual rainfall is going to be some 10% below the average, but you never know till it’s over.
